Chemical peeling in New Friends Colony is a simple and effective procedure that we perform in our clinic to remove the most superficial layers of the skin. This outermost layer is basically made up of dead cells and clogged pores. The chemical peel procedure is simple and safe and takes only about 30 minutes.
How it is performed?
The initial step of the chemical peel is a deep cleansing of the skin, removing fat and dead cells from its surface. Subsequently, a demaplanning is carried out that removes a greater amount of dead cells and irregularities from the skin, preparing it for the next step, which is to apply a solution to restore the most superficial layers of the epidermis. The final step is to apply dry ice, causing an anti-inflammatory effect.
How often can I perform a chemical peel ?
Treatment is individualized for each patient. However, treatment every three to four weeks for four to six months combined with a home treatment regimen is recommended for most patients to maintain the results obtained.
How will I look after the first chemical peel ?
Unlike other treatments, with the chemical peel an immediate improvement is observed at the end of it and a clear difference is noticed in the texture of the skin, softer and smoother, simply by passing the back of the hand over the facial skin. You can apply makeup and you will notice that you feel much better.
Can it be harmful to my skin?
Chemical peel treatment is only not recommended if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking Accutane, or have a history of herpes. You also have to bear in mind that an exfoliation increases the skin’s photosensitivity and you should use sunscreen on a daily basis.
